Parmalee Paula Cover is an Interdisciplinary artist, re-emerging, after a long sojourn, at 83; a published author who has worked in video and national performance poetry. Her current art is large format allegorical collage painting and her own iPhone photo genre- DriveByShots.
At the age of five, Parmalee had her first art show – all over the walls, B29s dropping explosives in crayola to stop WW2. After that, Parmalee majored in illustration at Syracuse University School of Fine Arts, then transferred to San Francisco Art Institute where she became involved in the Bay Area neo-figurative movement and later with Indy film making and art photography.
As a writer/director for PBS she collaborated after hours on video productions for leading conceptual artists, such as Laurie Anderson (Warner Special Productions), and Lynn Hershman-Leeson (Romeo Void, Lorna).
